Welcome to the horse world, Amanda! I'm glad you found my blog informative. Don't fret too much over your horse. You are still in the "getting to know each other" phase of your partnership. If you are at a new barn, she is probably trying to sort out her place in the herd as well. Spend as much time with her as you possibly can. My horses will hardly lift their noses from the grass right now also. This is normal. Check back to see new postings & information.

Hello: Thanks for your information. I am a new horse owner at age 47. I have been to one barn and I am at another one now. The new one is nice and full service for a good price. My horse however, has lost interest in me and is focused on other horses and grass. I have only had her for 5 months now. I have not had a spring time horse so this may be normal. I appreciate your words of encouragement and I thank you. Amanda
